10 TIPS FOR A SUCCESSFUL TAX SEASON
- All documents MUST be Adobe .Pdf – No pictures, .png, jpeg, .bmp
- Easily scan documents as .Pdf using Cell Phone – See How-to videos
- What tax docs to upload? Refer to last year’s return for reference. Email us if you have any questions!
- Use Descriptive Filenames e.g. “Marys-W2”
- Why the Tax Engagement Form? This gives us the information we need to start your return
- Do Tax Engagement Form AFTER Uploading documents, including K-1s
- Missed the March 12th deadline? Your Return will be Extended. Please keep in mind that extensions are subject to penalties, interest, and fees.
- Attention! BOTH SPOUSES need to eSign (if applicable)
- Due a Refund? Check “Where’s My Refund?”
- Owe Taxes Due? Pay by Mail: Print Payment Vouchers from SmartVault -or- Pay Online: IRS
