Michael Moffitt, CPA/PFS, CFP ©
Michael Moffitt is the founder and heartbeat behind MSM Advisors. He is a highly experienced accountant with over 40 years in public accounting. Mike holds a B.B.A. in Accounting from Lamar University, is a Certified Public Accountant in both Georgia and Texas, is a Personal Financial Specialist (as designated by the AICPA), and is a Certified Financial Planner. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Georgia Society of Certified Public Accountants.
Over the course of his career, Mike has been the VP of Finance at one of the largest parking management companies in the southeastern United States, as well as the CFO and Principal of a wealth management company. He has spent considerable time working with small and medium-sized businesses in tax and strategic and structure planning and has worked first-hand on matters of succession, internal controls, and buy-sell arrangements. He has also worked with not-for-profit entities in the areas of compliance, reporting, controls, and compensation-planning. Mike is passionate about giving back to the community. He has enjoyed serving as the Chairman of Inquest Ministries, Inc. and has conducted numerous presentations and training programs.
Outside of work, Mike loves to spend time with his family – especially his wife Cheryl and his two great-grandchildren (who lovingly refer to him as “MIKE!”). You can find Mike at the gym in the wee hours of the morning on any weekday. Mike looks forward to fishing on the lake with his brother-in-law after tax season.
Beverlee Athens, CPA
Beverlee Athens is a Certified Public Accountant licensed in both Georgia and Oklahoma with over 21 years of accounting experience. She is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. She currently serves as our Director of Operations and one of our accountants.
Upon obtaining her B.S. in Accounting from East Central University, she began her career as a staff accountant for a large automobile dealer group. She spent three years in the internal audit/tax department assisting with audits, S Corporation and individual tax returns, and dealership purchase and liquidations. The remainder of her automotive career was spent as a controller for both large and small dealerships and as a corporate controller for a large multi-franchise group. Beverlee’s experience includes all aspects of general ledger accounting, payroll and payroll tax reporting, sales tax, internal controls, employee benefits, human resources, cash flow management, contract negotiation, and personnel development.
Angie Flood
Angie joined the MSM family in August 2016. Angie serves as our Head of Bookkeeping and has 15 years of bookkeeping experience. She is a QuickBooks Pro-Advisor and holds a Xero Certification. Angie has also owned and operated several successful small businesses.
Outside of work, you can find her with her husband watching their two children watching softball or basketball.
Darcy Huey
Darcy Huey is the Office Manager at MSM Advisors, where she oversees daily operations, supports client relationships, and leads the firm’s marketing initiatives. Since joining the team in 2025, she has focused on improving the client experience and streamlining internal processes to help the firm operate efficiently. Darcy holds an Interdisciplinary Degree from Liberty University in Business, Language Studies, and Family & Consumer Sciences, as well as various certifications from Google, Adobe, and Vanderbilt University on topics from AI Integration to Digital Marketing. Darcy brings a well-rounded skill set to her work with both our clients and our behind-the-scenes team.
Outside of work, you can find Darcy spending time with her husband and two children. She loves to read and study herbalism and home skills in her free time.
